Madden 23 to 24

Like I stated in my previous post, I've worked a lot this past year, which also means I've traveled a lot. It's a little tough taking my Xbox from city to city on planes and hooking it up to a TV. Then I read that Madden 24 will have crossplay, so I tried Madden 23 on PC. The most notable difference immediately was that there is no precision passing on PC like there is on Xbox and PS5. I'm hoping they fix this for next year, or it will be unusable. My other concern is that, at this time, they have not addressed how crossplay will affect the Madden Championship Series. I have asked, but I haven't received a response yet. I want to play Madden 24 on the computer, but so far, it looks like it will be on Xbox, which is easy to travel with but still playable. In my opinion, my PS5 is definitely too large to travel with on airplanes.

Ultimate Team felt like a complete money grab in Madden 23. I did enjoy the gameplay of Madden 23. I competed in a regular team tournament where I was 1 or 2 games away from playing NoahUpNext, and that would have been awesome. I was shocked; I practiced with my friends and made it to the third round, despite playing very little last year. In Ultimate Team, I had a Jags theme team for about a month until a few limited team cards came out, and it became too difficult to acquire them, so I quit. Even now, at the end of the year, the packs are crazy expensive, and the rewards seem low for grinding.

One of my friends came up with a good idea on how to fix competitive Madden. I know they will never do it, but here it is: you make it draft champions, but for the tournament period, the draft is always the same pool of players, and then you get to choose any playbook you like. I would pay money to compete in such a way.

Once I find out more about how Madden 24 will be, I will update the blog if I'm going to pc next year. Also, if there is a game you want me to test and write a review on, let me know.

Starting over

I've decided to start my blog again, focusing on sports and gaming. I've been too busy with work for a while, but now it's time to get back to things I enjoy. So, the first topic I want to discuss is Madden 23. I'm going to write a review of the game from the previous year and share my thoughts on Madden 24 in my next post, possibly in a few minutes. This is just me saying that I'm back to being myself and to heck with working 100 hours a week. It has been miserable and I've felt underappreciated.
